why blogs are dumb

I've never been a "blogger." I always thought "those people" were kind of snooty and self-centered. Why would you want to post your gir-nal thoughts on the internet where everyone can read them? Why would you assume that anyone really cares about your favorite food or your stance on gas prices? Then, one night as I was procrastinating I found myself in elbow deep in blogs, and I was enjoying reading them, and it was interesting, and, what these people were writing about kind of made me want to go back and read them again sometime. I was shocked, could blogging actually be productive and interesting? Perhaps, I thought, perhaps. (Right now I'm taking comfort in the fact that the only people who are reading this are probably my sister and the rando who accidentally clicked the "next blog" button while reading something intellectual, especially since no one except those two people and now Audrey know this even exists) Anywho, I thought, maybe I'll give this a shot. By that point I thought, I want to keep track of all these cool sites and not have to scroll through my endless list of favorites on my now broken computer to get there, maybe I'll start a little blog of my own. So, here it is. And, getting to the point of this whole long mess...

Tonight blogging proved itself dumb because I was tempted to write a post about my office mate who has been listening to the best of the 80's on Pandora for the past 3 weeks and I've been having images of John Cusack in Say Anything three to five times a day as soon as Your Eyes comes through the speakers. And, I was also tempted to write, I mean, blog about how, as a result, I've been wanting to see the movie, and me and Audge were going to watch it tonight, only she lent it to dearest Beth. And, no one really cares, that's why sometimes blogging can be dumb.
